Counselling

*Availability update*

We currently have a number of remote video sessions coming available throughout the week. If you are interested and this could work for you, please email counselling@bristolmind.org.uk for a registration form.

We do not have any face to face sessions at this time – it will likely be June before further face to face sessions will come available.

Please note that our counselling service is a primary care service, working with mild-moderate mental health struggles.  We are not able to provide secondary mental health care.

We are currently operating a hybrid service of either face-face or video sessions.

What does Meeting Minds offer?

With a limited number of affordable counselling services available and waiting lists increasing, Bristol Mind are pleased to be able to offer a reduced fee counselling service to residents of the Bristol area.

Our team of therapists and trainee counsellors provide one-to-one therapy for adults over the age of 18 at an affordable rate dependent on disposable household income.  We offer up to 16 weeks (4 months) of counselling, with some scope to extend this where appropriate and following discussion with your counsellor.

Want to have your say on Bristol Mind’s services?

We are reaching out to our service users and members of the community because we want to hear from you.

We know that people are dealing with all manner of challenges post-Covid and in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis.

At Bristol Mind, we want to deliver the best possible services and we so we are designing a new project which works directly with you: exploring what we mean by inclusive and accessible mental health and wellbeing support, and how you would want to be involved in designing and delivering better services.

As a starting point we invite you to fill in this detailed survey (which takes about 10 minutes to complete), you are welcome to remain anonymous, however you are welcome to provide your personal details if you’d like to be involved in further design workshops as the project progresses. We want to hear from a range of people, especially those who might not normally engage with mental health and wellbeing activities.
