Suicide Prevention Training (ASIST)

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is for people who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. ASIST is a two-day intensive, interactive and practice-dominated course designed to help caregivers recognize risk and learn how to intervene to prevent the immediate risk of suicide.

Paid or unpaid staff providing a range of services who may have contact with individuals at risk of suicide including; health and social care workers; police; prison service staff;  drug and alcohol workers; counselors and therapists; student support services

Cost of course:

Individuals: £200  includes the cost of course handbook
Limited concessions available for unfunded groups or individuals
In-house: £2,000  (maximum 16 participants)
