Indigo Project
Self Injury Support for Young People aged between 13 and 24 in Bristol and South Glos.
Indigo Project uses a social model and harm minimisation approach, to engage with young people in a completely different way from statutory mental health services. They try to meet clients' needs by operating with the support of other agencies. They work alongside CAMHS, GP’s, schools, social services etc, with the permission of the young person.
The indigo project is planning to start an activity group for young people who self injure. The emphasis of the work will be to encourage the service users to help and support each other. The project offers a range of individual and group support, including an intensive therapeutic group, an activity group, counselling, a nutritionist, a helpline for group members, text, email, and phone support. As well as targeted, positive and social activities they liase with individuals and support agencies who can offer additional services for young people.
They are happy to offer training on working with young people who self injure which they tailor to meet your requirements.
