In-patient advocacy

It can be hard to tell people you are concerned about your treatment while you are in hospital or while using any other mental health service.

Advocacy gives you the opportunity talk things through with an independent person. Advocates listen to your opinion and won't judge you. They are completely confidential. Advocates can offer guidance, support and representation at meetings and with formal procedures such as access to medical records, complaints and appeals.

In-patient advocacy is available for wards at Callington Road and Southmead (Mason Clifton and Weston Wards) Hospitals.
