Volunteering with Bristol Mind

You can volunteer to work on our MindLine telephone helpline, or as an advocate helping people get their views heard, or in our office dealing with enquiries.

We could not provide our services without the continued commitment of volunteers.

Training and Wellbeing Volunteer

Bristol Mind wishes to recruit a volunteer to support the Wellbeing manager with running of the training project. This will include, keeping up to date databases, sending out information about courses, responding to telephone calls for information and assisting the wellbeing manager with her administration.  Applicants will need to have familiarity with office systems and some experience of working with people in stressful situations.  The post holder will be supported by, and work with, the Wellbeing Manger but may be required to work on their own form time to time so will need to have the confidence to act as the first point of contact for telephone and personal callers. Advocacy - speaking up for people

Advocates help people speak up for what they want and need, complain about services and have their views heard. It is a much required service to individuals in the community.

Advocates need to be confident enough to work with a wide range of people.
