Bristol Mind was originally founded in 1965 and acquired its charitable status at that point. During the 1980's it ran an information and advice project from Barton Hill Settlement .
The funding for this was not renewed after 1988 . Bristol Mind was relaunched in April 1990 . An executive committee was formed and has met monthly from then onwards.
